Caitlin Clark draws unprecedented praise from U.S. sports icon

At just 24 years of age, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has already accomplished a lot in her decorated basketball career. So much so that she is widely considered a trailblazer in women’s basketball and a pivotal figure in women’s sports.

Rokue and Omaha Productions recently teamed up to create “Gamechangers: America’s Top 25 Female Athletes,” a documentary that pays tribute to great women athletes. It is executive-produced by WNBA legend Sue Bird, soccer icon Alex Morgan and two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Peyton Manning.

Clark was among the 25 female athletes honored in the special. She joined the likes of Bird, Morgan, gymnast Simone Biles, tennis icon Billie Jean King, decorated swimmer Katie Ledecky and alpine ski racing great Lindsey Vonn, to name a few.

Morgan, a two-time World Cup winner for the U.S., was one of the interviewees in the documentary. She spoke highly about Clark, noting how the young basketball star has reached unprecedented heights both on and off the court.

“What she was able to accomplish at Iowa, and now in the WNBA, and personally for her brand, is something that really no female athlete has been able to do at her age,” said the U.S. soccer icon.

Clark led the Iowa Hawkeyes to back-to-back national championship games in 2023 and 2024. She broke all sorts of records during her time with the program. This includes becoming the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I history for both men and women with 3,951 career points.

Clark’s record-breaking success carried over to the WNBA. She went on to set new marks as a rookie, taking the league by absolute storm. She is now in Year 3 and is looking to lead the Fever to an elusive WNBA title.

As Morgan said, what makes all of Clark’s achievements so impressive is the fact that she isn’t even 25 yet.
