Caitlin Clark is on a hot streak over the Indiana Fever’s last five games, recording three double-doubles. The superstar has scored at least at least 20 points along with eight or more assists over that span. She has received a lot of praise from analysts and the team’s coaching staff, particularly Stephanie White.
The veteran head coach and the rest of the team are reaping the rewards of Clark’s strong play. She has been one of the biggest reasons why Indiana has won nine of its last 11 games, including a current four-game winning streak. The team has moved into fourth place in the standings with a 23-12 record with nine games left on the schedule. Clark and Co. are now just half-a-game behind the Las Vegas Aces for third place.

White had nothing but good words to say about how Clark performance on Sunday. During her postgame presser, she highlighted the three-time All-Star has not been forcing shots and passes.
“I feel like C, over the last four or five games, her floor game has been incredible,” White said. “We all know she can score in bunches. She finds ways. But the way that she’s getting us into offense, the way that she’s using the floor to get her teammates shots, she’s not getting bogged down on one side, she’s not getting bogged down trying to create something. She’s allowing the game to flow and she’s doing a great job of finding her teammates in that.”
Fans dropped their reactions in the comments section.
“Just say it Steph, “She’s the MVP,” one fan commented.
“Yeah CC. Making excellence happen!
,” a reaction read.
“We’ve only been saying this exact thing the ENTIRE SEASON. Welcome to the club, Coach!” one user wrote.
“Perfectly said, Coach White! posted another.
“It’s like Stephanie White is the last to know how great Caitlin Clark is now and has been from day one, duh…” a comment read.
“How I have been waiting for a moment like this, SW appreciating and acknowledging CC’s game. I love you now Steph,” another fan said.
White, Clark and the Fever will look to make it five consecutive victories on Tuesday against the Toronto Tempo. The team is peaking at the right time, and it won’t be surprising if it becomes the No. 3 seed, especially with its recent form.
