Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (18) and quarterback Tyson Bagent (17) enter the field before the game against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field.

The Chicago Bears provided a few meaningful injury updates before Tuesday’s practice.

Two days after left tackle Ozzy Trapilo passed a physical, the Bears still have to ramp up his activity. Braxton Jones is expected to earn reps with the first team on Tuesday in the meantime.

Per Mark Carman of CHGO Bears, quarterback Tyson Bagent suffered a hamstring during Chicago’s 34-10 win over the Cleveland Browns on Saturday. It’s unclear if he’ll play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

“Tyson Bagent suffered a hamstring injury in the game against the Browns,” Carman posted on X. “He is not practicing today and his status for Saturday’s game is in doubt.”

Bagent went 13 of 22 for 169 yards passing, one touchdown, and one interception on Saturday. Bears head coach Ben Johnson was unhappy with the way the offensive line blocked for him.

“But, as a whole, I would say the offensive line – I felt like our quarterback got hit more than I would like,” Johnson said. “(QB) Tyson (Bagent) certainly did in the first half. And in the second half, we still felt some pressures there on Case (Keenum) and Miller (Moss).”

If Bagent misses time, the Bears should give more snaps to veteran backup Keenum and rookie quarterback Moss. Keenum went 9 of 10 passing for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Moss went 3 of 8 passing for 48 yards. Saturday could be Moss’s best chance to make an argument for the 53-man roster, though he most likely will be a candidate for the practice squad after camp.

Johnson was asked several times about the status of Kyler Gordon, who missed time during OTAs and mandatory minicamp before starting training camp on the active/PUP list due to a soft-tissue injury. Johnson said Gordon has been in the building and is rehabbing as a part of a “plan” to return at some point.
