Bold Bears’ Caleb Williams prediction will have QB flying up draft boards

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams looked much closer to his No. 1 pick pedigree in his first year with head coach Ben Johnson. Now entering 2026, the expectations on his shoulders have only gotten grander.

Fantasy football managers surely took notice of Williams’ rise in 2025. He’ll be a top quarterback target in all fantasy football drafts. Matt Bowen of ESPN even thinks he’ll end up as QB1 during the 2026 fantasy season.

“Williams finished as the No. 5 QB in total scoring last season and scored 18.7 points per game (No. 7). We saw his playmaking skills, plus he provides a rushing boost (383 yards, three touchdowns),” Bowen wrote. “With a versatile and explosive receiving corps, led by tight end Colston Loveland, and an elite playcaller in Ben Johnson, I see a path for Williams to produce big-time numbers in 2026.”

Ultimately, Johnson and Williams don’t care about your fantasy team. They will do everything in their power to help the team win. But it’s not hard to see Chicago once again holding one of the more explosive offenses in the league.

Caleb Williams offers fantasy football gold 

During his 2025 campaign, Williams completed 58.1 percent of his passes for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He added another 388 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. That effort earned him QB5 status in fantasy football.

Now imagine if Williams even slightly improved his completion percentage. The quarterback will always be a playmaker. But if he is able to become more consistent, it’ll be easier to take shots down field. With another offseason of working with Johnson under his belt, Williams should have a much greater understanding off the offense.

Furthermore, Chicago has built their entire unit around the quarterback. They’ve made major investments into the offensive line while bringing in pass catchers like Luther Burden and Colston Loveland through the draft. All the tools are there for Williams to succeed.

Now it’s up to the quarterback to prove exactly why he went No. 1 overall in 2024. If he does, Williams will be a league winner across the fantasy football landscape.
