The Chicago Bears’ 2025 season came with many memorable moments and numerous games going down to the wire. Battles that had fans on the edge of their seat.
Entering the 2026 season, the NFL world is once again expecting the Bears to be must-watch television. Chicago is ranked as the most watchable team in the league by Ben Solak of ESPN.
“This season’s Bears might not produce as many wild swings, but they still figure to be the most explosive offense in football,” Solak wrote. “Last season’s takeaway-happy defense looks poised to give up plenty of yards and points, as well, which should lead to big scoreboards and more opportunities for fun offense. This one is not a hard sell.”

With head coach Ben Johnson running the show, the Bears are sure to set off plenty of fireworks. But if the whole NFL world is watching, they must deliver. Big plays lose a lot of their luster if they’re coming in loses.

Chicago went 7-4 in one-score games during the 2025 season. The fact they had a positive record shows in part why they won the NFC North. But the fact they were in so many close battles is why they’re at the top of the watchability rankings.
In 2026, the Bears will try to find their consistency. “Cardiac” Caleb Williams gets fans out of their seats. But Chicago would much prefer being in control entering the fourth quarter. The fact Williams can win you games on a whim is a major asset. But the Bears don’t want to rely on that strategy every week.
But getting more consistent doesn’t mean the franchise won’t be must-watch. Johnson still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve and Williams is a playmaker at the end of the day. There is still bound to be points a plenty.
Their top spot in the watchability rankings adds extra hype to the Bears’ 2026 campaign, and more pressure. Chicago has earned the eyeballs. What are they going to do with them?
