Kenya marks protest anniversary amid fears of more violence

Kenya on Thursday marks two years since protests against the 2024 Finance Bill turned violent. The police crackdown left more than 60 people dead and hundreds injured. As civil society groups prepare to take to the streets, many fear the government’s response. In recent years, the use of violence has become increasingly widespread in Kenya.
