Forza Horizon 6 pre-order bonus explained – what you get for coughing up early

Forza Horizon 6 players who pre-order the game are getting a pretty tasty little bonus before they even hit the roads of virtual Japan. No matter which version of the game you buy, Standard, Deluxe, or Premium, anybody who pre-orders before May 19 will receive an exclusive pre-tuned Ferrari J50 to redeem in-game from the Autoshow.

The Ferrari J50 was originally built by Ferrari to celebrate 50 years of the brand in Japan, which ties in perfectly with Forza Horizon 6’s long-awaited setting. Only 10 real-world versions of the car were ever produced, making it one of Ferrari’s rarest modern supercars, and now Horizon players get to throw it sideways through Tokyo streets and mountain passes instead. That feels like a decent trade-off.

The pre-order version of the J50 isn’t just a cosmetic extra either. Playground Games says it comes pre-tuned, meaning it should be race-ready from the moment players unlock it. That will likely make it one of the better starter exotic cars for anybody wanting an early advantage in online races or showcase events.

Of course, the bigger editions pile on a lot more content beyond the Ferrari. The Deluxe Edition includes the Car Pass and Welcome Pack, while the Premium Edition adds four days of early access starting May 15, VIP Membership perks, two future expansions, and extra DLC car packs like the Time Attack and Italian Passion packs.

Still, the Ferrari J50 bonus is the one thing every pre-order customer gets, regardless of how much money they throw Microsoft’s way.

Forza Horizon 6 launches on May 19 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with the Premium Edition unlocking on May 15 for early access players. The game will feature more than 550 cars at launch and the series’ biggest map yet, set across a hugely detailed version of Japan.
