Dawn of War IV release date window revealed in Embracer earnings report

Embracer has seemingly revealed when we can roughly expect the Dawn of War IV release date. The company held its earnings report on May 20th, revealing some insights into what it expects to be the company’s big money makers for the financial year 2026/27. In that report, it detailed its two big releases coming in the first half of the year as Gothic 1 Remake and Dawn of War IV.
Dawn of War IV release window points to July to September 2026
The financial report states, which was published at 07:00 CEST on May 20th states:
“The year is anchored by METRO 2039 and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, both expected in the second half of the year. The main releases in the first half of the year include Gothic 1 Remake and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV.”
This refers to the financial year, which operates starting in April. Given that Gothic 1 Remake already has a confirmed release date of June 5, 2026, it likely places Dawn of War IV anywhere between July and September. That means Dawn of War IV could be rather close.
The other big games due to release in Embracer’s 2026/27 financial year are the new Tomb Raider game alongside Metro 2039. These two are expected to be Embracer’s biggest earnings drivers for the financial year. As it stands, Metro 2039 is expected later this calendar year, while Tomb Raider does not yet have a confirmed release window. It leads to a suggestion that we could be looking at a June release for Gothic, followed by an August or September window for Dawn of War IV. That gives a two-month run-in for Metro around October or December, crucially avoiding the crowded GTA 6 November release window, then followed by Tomb Raider around February, which is proving to be a strong release window for many games nowadays.
Again, this is speculative based on the confirmed information so far. But it seems to make sense from a scheduling perspective. We will likely have more information on an official release date for Dawn of War IV in the next few months, as PLAION has done in-depth marketing on at least three of the four factions so far. That suggests there is probably not long left before the game hits digital shelves.
