How to get Xbox Games Pass Starter edition from Discord

Discord and Xbox have announced a new deal partnering together. Now, Discord Nitro players will get Xbox Game Pass as part of their Nitro package, albeit only a Starter Edition.

How to get Xbox Game Pass via Discord

To get the Xbox Game Pass Starter Edition, players need to head over to the Nitro settings on the Discord app. Click the Discord DM area of the app, then check the Nitro Home tab and select Xbox Game Pass to claim the reward. It will then ask you to sign into your Xbox account, and should award you with it once everything is set up properly.

Note that the Starter Edition Game Pass is relatively limited, sitting even below the Essential Game Pass tier. You will get 10 hours per month of streaming on supported devices and can stream games you already own.

You will also be able to earn 25,000 Reward points per year on this tier, and get access to 50 or more games via the Xbox Game Pass library. Note that this does not include new games on day one or new Xbox games published within their first year. You do get the free bonus like the Riot Games unlocks, in-game bonuses and rewards, but you won’t get the Ubisoft, EA or Fortnite bonuses though.

The number of games available is around 102 on PC, with about 60 installable and another 40 accessible via cloud streaming within your 10-hour monthly limit. You can see the full list of games by going to the Xbox menu, clicking My Library, and then checking the Ownership tab and filtering by In Game Pass. From there, you can manage by streamable or installable to see what you have access to.
