Kevin Garnett has perfect nickname for Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson

The Chicago Bulls are set to wrap up their 2026 NBA Summer League schedule, entering Friday’s finale at 1-3 overall. While Chicago is struggling, including Thursday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, there has been a bright spot.

Rookie Caleb Wilson, who the Bulls took No. 4 overall in 2026 NBA Draft, has been one of the top players in Summer League so far. Not only for the Bulls but the entire league. Wilson has put on a show in four games, showcasing his skill set overall. Not only is Wilson getting it done with scoring but he’s showcasing his perimeter shooting as well as rebounding and defense.

While it’s only Summer League, there’s a lot to like about Wilson’s game early. He’s also earning some praise from analysts and former players. The latest even gave him a nickname.

Kevin Garnett entered the league out of high school as one of the top players in the 1995 NBA Draft. He was selected No. 5 overall out of Farragut Academy in Chicago and went on to have a Hall of Fame career. Garnett is considered one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history for his storied career. “The Big Ticket” is now seeing some of himself in Wilson’s game.

Garnett watched Wilson courtside and likes what he’s seen so far. He went as far as calling Wilson the “Little Ticket”:

In the draft process, Wilson drew a comparison to Garnett via their style of play. Many believe Wilson’s ceiling is Garnett, which would turn out to be awesome for the Bulls. As big of a compliment as that is, Wilson’s expectations are being himself.

“We have some similarities, but I feel like we’re much different players. Kevin Garnett’s a Hall of Famer,” Wilson said. “I don’t want to be compared to Hall of Famer because that messes up my expectations…I don’t have expectations of being Kevin Garnett, I just have expectations of being Caleb Wilson.”

It’s early but it feels like the Bulls have a good one.
