Skip Bayless highlights WNBA’s Caitlin Clark ‘problem’

Sports columnist and commentator Skip Bayless proclaimed Caitlin Clark as one of the best WNBA players right now.

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has been balling out this season and is currently averaging her best offensive output since entering the league in 2024.

One of the personalities who took notice was Bayless, who recently shared his thoughts about Clark. The veteran sportscaster believes she’s the face of the entire association.

“Caitlin Clark is becoming a problem for the WNBA … on the court,” Bayless wrote. “She’s starting to look like the MVP and her highest-scoring team is looking like a championship threat. Uh-oh.”

In 25 games this year, the former Iowa standout is averaging 21.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 8.0 assists to maintain Indiana’s grip on a playoff position as the No. 4 seed in the standings.

Another reason why Bayless came out with his strong take is Clark’s performance against the Portland Fire on Friday, where she finished with a triple-double of 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

It was her fourth career triple-double and was the main reason why the Fever secured the 112-98 win on the road and extended their winning streak to five.

Caitlin Clark reached another milestone in their game against the Seattle Storm

Before their game against Portland, Clark also made history against the Seattle Storm in their 105-95 win on Tuesday.

It was Clark’s ninth career game with 30+ points and 5+ assists, making her the franchise leader in this category. She finished the game with 32 points, four rebounds and seven assists.

Another record she set earlier this season was her 45-point, 10-assist explosion against the Storm on July 17, becoming the first player in league history to record a 40-point, 10-assist stat line in a single game.

With this production, Clark should be a prime candidate to be one of the frontrunners to bag the MVP award this season, especially if she continues to lead her team to more wins.
