Caitlin Clark, along with the Indiana Fever and millions of fans, have witnessed greatness from Kelsey Mitchell this season. She has recorded 16 consecutive games with 20-plus points and is one of the favorites for the WNBA MVP award. The veteran guard has also showed off her elite skill set and not just her scoring, often pulling off big plays.

Indiana is coming off a 90-86 win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday. While the team was heavily favored over the hosts, the victory was even more important as it snapped a two-game skid. Clark contributed 26 points and 11 rebounds to support Mitchell’s game-high 27 points and five rebounds. The four-time All-Star dazzled on both ends of the floor with three-pointers and highlight reel-worthy dimes.

Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark asks for more from teammate following Kelsey Mitchell’s assist

One of Mitchell’s assists on the night was during a fast break. She brought the ball down to the Fever’s attack zone, drew defenders and dished out a pass over her shoulders to Makayla Timpson. Clark, head coach Stephanie Clark and the veteran forward discussed it during their postgame availability, and the superstar guard shared what she wanted to see. The lighthearted interview was posted on Instagram and has since been viewed almost 600,000 times.

“KK should have dunked it,” Clark said, “I don’t know what she was doing.”

Timpson also played a key role in the win. She produced 10 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals, providing a reliable fourth option for Indiana.

Clark, Mitchell, Timpson, and the Fever will play their next game on Tuesday. They will take on the New York Liberty in the first of a two-game homestand. A showdown with the Dallas Wings follows after three days, with the team aiming to start a new winning streak to get them closer to the top three teams in the standings.
