Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell are enjoying a strong season and continue to make history with the Indiana Fever. The dynamic backcourt duo spearheads the team’s attack and has led it to a huge turnaround after a slow start.
Indiana is coming off a 90-86 victory over the Chicago Sky on Saturday. The win ended the franchise’s two-game skid after winning its previous five outings. Clark produced 26 points built on five threes, with four rebounds and 11 assists. Mitchell, on the other hand, recorded a game-high 27 points on 11-of-22 shooting along with five rebounds and three three-pointers. It was her 16th consecutive game with 20-plus points.

Clark and Mitchell also made history on Saturday. They became the duo with most combined points over a 10-game span with 516. Indiana posted the feat on X and added a three-word reaction in the caption.
“the perfect pairing

Their total shattered the previous mark by 16 points. It was set by Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter of the Phoenix Mercury and was achieved in the 2006 season.
Indiana has a record of 20-12 for the year and aims to finish the regular season as one of the top three teams in the standings. The team reached the second round of the 2025 playoffs but lost to the Las Vegas Aces. With Clark’s minutes closely monitored, the Fever want to ensure she is fresh for the postseason. Mitchell is playing at an MVP level, presenting opposing defenses with problems on how to stop her. The duo, along with Aliyah Boston, will be heavily relied on to lead the team to the promised land. They are one of the championship favorites but will need to earn it against other powerhouses.
Next up for Clark, Mitchell and Co. is a two-game homestand starting on Tuesday. They will face the New York Liberty at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with tip-off set at 7:30 p.m.ET.
