Fever HC Stephanie White puts WNBA on notice with latest Caitlin Clark comments

Clark, White and the Fever are now on a three-game winning streak following their victory over the Dallas Wings on Friday. The 24-year-old recorded 29 points and 10 assists to lead the team to a 98-87 triumph. It was her 11th double-double of the season and fifth in the last six games, strengthening her MVP chances. During her postgame presser, White shared her thoughts about Clark’s performance. She showered the three-time All-Star with praise, particularly how she leads the offense. The 49-year-old also emphasized that opposing teams have a hard time when Clark commands the floor.

“She’s like a maestro, the way that she really runs our offense,” White said. “I think when we’re at our best, she is instructing, she is running it much like a show. It’s tough to match up with us when she’s commanding the floor like that.”

Clark owns the WNBA all-time record for the most 20-plus point, 10-assist games with 20. She has 10 more than Courtney Vandersloot who is second on the list. The three-time All-Star also has more such games than any franchise in league history.

Indiana is fourth in the standings with a 22-12 record but only lead the Atlanta Dream by half-a-game. They will meet on Sunday at State Farm Arena for a crucial matchup that has playoff implications. The first of their four-game road trip will tip off at 5 p.m. ET and will be shown live on ESPN.
