Latest Bears trade report draws mixed reactions from fans

Ryan Poles, Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears have inquired about Tampa Bay Buccaneers nose tackle Vita Vea, according to a recent report.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo gave an interesting report on Friday before the preseason game between the Buccaneers and the New York Jets.

According to Garafolo, several teams have inquired about Vea, including the Buffalo Bills, the Bears and the San Francisco 49ers.

This stems from the two-time Pro Bowler’s previous statement that he wants out of the team because his negotiations for a long-term contract have stalled. Vea is also frustrated that he’s earning less per year under his current contract than other players in his position.

With this latest development, a Bears fan page was hyped and posted about the potential trade on Instagram.

“The Bears have ‘checked in’ on the availability of Buccaneers DT Vita Vea, per @mike_garafolo 👀” the post’s caption read.

Vea didn’t suit up for Tampa Bay during their preseason fixture against New York. The Bucs secured a road win at MetLife Stadium, 24-16.
