Pete Crow-Armstrong trading cards trending upwards with MVP run

Chicago Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong is in the middle of a historic season and is the current MVP favorite in the National League. Crow-Armstrong has been on a tear as of late as the Cubs look to catch the Milwaukee Brewers.

With PCA already being a popular player in Chicago, the rest of the country is getting a look at what he can do now. It’s caused a spike in his popularity overall as well as his trading card market over the past few months. Being in that MVP race, PCA cards have exploded on the market and the prices have gone significantly up. That will continue to be the case as long as he stays in the MVP race and plays at this level.

But how crazy has it been?

Sports Collectors Daily wrote on PCA’s card market last week and how it has taken off. They included some stats as of recent, showing just how much of an impact it has had in the sports collectors world:

With Crow-Armstrong now the clubhouse leader for the NL MVP Award and taking advantage of Shohei Ohtani only being spectacular instead of a unicorn, interest in his cards is growing rapidly.  Nearly every day,.more than 1,000 Crow-Armstrong cards sell on eBay alone.  On August 6, more than 1,800 changed hands. His CardLadder index is up over 44% in the last three months.

Even though he is a 24-year-old who really had his breakout season last year, Crow-Armstrong has been featured on baseball cards for the past decade.

Crow-Armstrong cards are going to go up the better he plays and it wouldn’t shock us to a new record sale set of one of his cards. If you’re chasing PCA rookie cards, autograph cards, or even numbered cards, be ready to open up the wallet.
