Angel Reese is coming off arguably her best game of the season on Thursday. She played in a key role in the Atlanta Dream’s win over the Los Angeles Sparks by recording an impressive stat line. The three-time All-Star’ strong effort was recognized by her star teammate, Naz Hillmon, who also praised game style.
Reese missed out on a triple-double by just two assists, finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight dimes. What’s even more remarkable was she shot 9-of-9 from the field, including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc, in the 124-88 victory.
The 24-year-old continues to prove that she can thrive in a new system and has already adjusted to her new team. Reese’s former team, the Chicago Sky, traded her to Atlanta in the offseason for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028.

Hillmon talked about the impact Reese has had on her and the Dream. The reigning WNBA Sixth Player of the Year also talked about what the star forward contributes to the team each game.
“I think the thing about Angelis that she’s gonna be great wherever she is, just because of of the things that she does,” Hillmon said. “Everybody talks about her rebounding, obviously her motor, which is a huge part of her game. But like we saw today, she put on display her ability to pass the ball. So, I feel like if you can do those things, you can fit in anywhere. But she brings that toughness, that aggressiveness, that competitiveness every single night. Like you’re never going to question what’s on her mind, and that’s winning.
“And then the things that people may not see, like, the way she pours into people on this team, regardless of what she’s got going on, like the way that she talks, especially to the young ones, even the old, even the vets. She talks to people, cares about them, pours into them, and when someone as big as Angel Reese is pouring into you, like, I know that that means a lot from so many people, and she does it consistently.”
#Dream Naz Hillmon on what she’s seen in Angel Reese that has helped her fit in so quickly and effectively with the team:

Hillmon also had a good game on Thursday. She produced 14 points, five rebounds and three assists. Hillmon, Reese and the Dream will return to action on Saturday when they take on the Phoenix Mercury. Extending their winning streak to three games will put more pressure on the Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever. They are in a tight battle with them for the No. 3 seed.
