Tristan Peters, an All-Star for the Chicago White Sox this season, is now responsible for three of the team’s 11 walk-off wins. His latest came during Players’ Weekend and was his first walk-off home run of the year. Peters launched a game-ending shot off Kodai Senga of the New York Mets while using a Savannah Bananas bat, paying homage to a time with the team a few years ago. His previous walk-offs came on April 3, when he delivered a walk-off hit, and July 30, when he drew a game-winning walk.

Peter’s shot came just two days after his teammate Jake Rogers hit a walk-off home run in extra innings that plated two runs in the process. It also marked the White Sox fifth walk-off long ball of the year, with Braden Montgomery, Miguel Vargas, and Edgar Quero having the others. This total not only is the most in the Majors this year, but it ties a White Sox franchise record.

According to Sarah Langs, five walk-off home runs hit by five different players is tied for the most in White Sox franchise history. Chicago has accomplished the feat in three other seasons: 2014, 2008 and 1988. All of the players who helped make history during those seasons are listed in the post below.
5 different players with a walk-off HR ties the most in a season in White Sox history:

Peters’ latest heroics add another memorable moment to what has already been a very fun season for the White Sox. With his third walk-off of the year, and the latest finally coming via a home run, he not only helped Chicago secure another dramatic win but also tied a franchise record.
