Exciting Bears update emerges before NFL season

The Chicago Bears are coming off a 27-9 preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. They also saw Coby Bryant suffer a knee injury that will sideline him for the next four to six months. The team badly needed some exciting news, which came on Monday.

Chicago won the NFC North last year with an 11-6 record and reached the Divisional Round. It is aiming for more success in the upcoming campaign, with many eyes focused on Caleb Williams and his teammates. The Bears will play seven primetime games, giving fans around the country more chances to see them play live.

They will wrap up their preseason schedule on Saturday against the Tennessee Titans. Williams and Co. will then commence their 2026 regular season on Sept. 13 with a road game versus the Carolina Panthers.

Bears’ Disney collab has been revealed

Disney unveiled its NFL character pairings for all NFL teams on Monday. Chicago’s features Baloo from “The Jungle Book.”

Hannah Porto and London Detrick from Disney Parks Blog explained why the company chose Baloo for the team. The bear’s character perfectly fits Chicago’s vibe.

“A bear’s bear. Fun-loving, loyal, and always up for the good times, Baloo feels right at home in Chicago,” Porto and Detrick wrote.

Baloo, a wise, sleepy brown bear, serves as a strict teacher of the Law of the Jungle for the wolf pack. He instructs the wolf cubs and the human child Mowgli on jungle rules. Williams, who often smiles during interviews and practices, resembles the bear. However, he maintains a no nonsense demeanor on the field and showcased his calmness under pressure last season.
