Caleb Williams reacts to Bears WR Rome Odunze’s 3-word statement

Caleb Williams is coming off a strong performance in the season opener against the Carolina Panthers. The Chicago Bears quarterback spearheaded the team’s attack, while Rome Odunze made impact plays in the 59-37 win. The wide receiver posted a carousel of photos on Instagram, and Williams reacted to them.

Odunze only recorded two receptions; however, one of them was a highlight play. He completed a “Moss catch” by snatching the ball off his defender’s back for a 47-yard gain. D’Andre Swift ran the football to the end zone in the ensuing play. Meanwhile, Williams completed 21-of-29 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns, along with 65 yards and two scores on the ground.

The duo have built a strong bond on and off the field. They often comment on each other’s social media posts, showing fans the chemistry they’ve built.

Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams pokes fun at Rome Odunze’s Instagram caption

Odunze’s post included snaps from Sunday’s game. The others featured him in his pregame outfit, spending time with his son, with Luther Burden III and memes. Williams poked fun at his three-word caption in his Instagram story. He also uploaded the eighth slide showing the wideout in a chef’s uniform.

“Real Bad Mann,” Odunze wrote.

Odunze’s two catches totaled 52 yards. While he failed to score a touchdown, Williams and his teammates more than made up for it. Swift registered three, and Kyle Monangai, Jahdae Walker and Cole Kmet had one each.

Next up for the Bears is their home opener on Sunday versus the Minnesota Vikings. It’s another intriguing matchup as the visiting team won its Week 1 assignment 39-22 over the Green Bay Packers. Two more games in front of their home fans at Soldier Field follows for Williams, Odunze Co. They will take on the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets in Weeks 3 and 4.
