Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

Caleb Williams impressed last year and started this season with a strong performance. The Chicago Bears quarterback is gaining more fans who believe in his ability to lead the team to a Super Bowl, including Stephen A. Smith.

Williams led Chicago to a 59-37 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 1. He completed 21-of-29 passes for 265 yards and two touchdowns. The 24-year-old added 65 yards and two more scores on the ground. His strong play turned a lot of heads as he consistently made the right plays and showcased his elite skill set.

D’Andre Swift also had himself a season opener to remember. The veteran running back recorded 18 rushing attempts for 124 yards and three touchdowns. Kyle Monangai, Cole Kmet and Jahdae Walker were the Bears’ other touchdown scorers.

Stephen A. Smith believes Caleb Williams will the Bears a Super Bowl

Smith expressed belief in Williams’ taking the franchise to the promised land. The veteran sports analyst sees him winning a Super Bowl with Chicago. Smith made it clear that he’s uncertain that it will happen this year, but he thinks it will soon.

“I’m a huge Caleb Williams fan,” Smith said. “I believe he’s going to win a Super Bowl for (the Bears) one day. I’m dead serious about that. I believe he’s the greatest quarterback in the history of the Chicago Bears, right now, the brother is special. It’s not that hard, but Caleb Williams is a bad brother, and by bad I mean, leaping towards greatness. I don’t know if they’re going to do it this year, but he’s going to win a Super Bowl.”

There’s no doubt that Williams has the skills to thrive in the NFL. It may only be a matter of time when he leads the Bears to a Super Bowl. However, he has a chance to do it as early as this season.
