Sophie Cunningham turns heads with outfit for WNBA playoffs

Sophie Cunningham entered Michelob Ultra Arena on Sunday looking relaxed and all smiles. She played a key role for the Indiana Fever in their first-round Game 1 matchup with the Las Vegas Aces. The veteran guard also turned heads for her pregame outfit ahead of her first WNBA playoff game with the franchise.

Cunningham finished with 13 points on 3-of-6 shooting, along with one steal and three three-pointers off the bench. She and Raven Johnson stepped up big time and provided a spark when the starters rested. The rookie out of South Carolina produced 14 points on 6-of-7 from the field. Aliyah Boston led the team’s charge with 18 points, eight rebounds and four assists, while Caitlin Clark supplied 15 points and 10 assists.

However, their efforts weren’t enough to secure a victory, losing 102-85 to the No. 3-seeded Aces. Indiana now has its back against the wall and will need to win Game 2 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday to avoid elimination.

Indiana Fever: Sophie Cunningham’s pregame outfit causes a stir

Cunningham arrived at the venue wearing a matching leopard print set. It consisted of floor-Length duster coat featuring a trench-style coat worn open. She paired it with with a high-waisted, high-cut leg silhouette shorts. The 30-year-old completed her look with black strappy heel sandals and small hoop earrings.

The Missouri product has had an up-and-down season. She started the year with the starting unit but was moved to the bench for her offensive firepower. Cunningham has struggled with consistency, alternating big performances with off nights. The good news is she performed well in Game 1 and the Fever will rely heavily on her again on Tuesday.
