Final Trailer for Georgia Oakley’s Delightful ‘Sense & Sensibility’ Movie

“You’re invited to the cinematic event of the season.” In theaters in a few weeks – and I highly recommend watching it! Focus Features has debuted the joyful second & final official trailer for this year’s Sense and Sensibility movie, a brand new cinematic version of the iconic Jane Austen story first published in 1811. Yesterday we also posted the excellent behind-the-scenes featurette for filmmaker Georgia Oakley’s vision of this tale of sisters and romance. It has been adapted plenty of times before – most notably in 1996 as Ang Lee’s Sense and Sensibility starring Kate Winslet & Emma Thompson. From Focus Features & Working Title comes an irresistible new take Austen’s story: charming, witty, and deeply relatable story of sisterhood and young love. With Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles as sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood. The film’s exquisite ensemble cast features Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Caitríona Balfe, George MacKay, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum, & Fiona Shaw (the best). This is one of my favorite films of 2026!
