Ashton Chen & Iko Uwais in ‘Fists on a Plane: Wings of Dread’ Trailer

“Once I’m done with you, I’ll take care of your friends up there.” Don’t let him! Well Go USA has revealed their official trailer for a kick ass Chinese action thriller movie called Fists on a Plane: Wings of Dread, made by and starring Ashton Chen. They took the original simple title of just Wings of Dread and added Fists on a Plane to sell it very directly for US audiences. Because it is a martial arts showdown on a plane! Ha. When a hijacker threatens his flight to China, air marshal Gu Chaoyang (Chen) must rely on his training and unwavering sense of duty to engage in a deadly confrontation at 30,000 feet to protect the passengers and crew aboard the plane. What follows onboard is a brutal, life-and-death struggle where there is no room for error & nowhere to run. This also stars Indonesian actor Iko Uwais, with Qu Jingjing, Nita Hsia Jo-Yen, Hong Shuang, Ren Tianye, Gao Yi, Huang Tao, and Liu Fengchao. One review has a great line: “the fights take place in the economy but are first class.” Ha ha. This final trailer is just start-to-finish action – no need to explain more of the story, let them fight for 2 minutes. Will this end up being as fun as it looks? // Continue Reading ›
