Amon-Ra St. Brown announced some big personal news on his Instagram account on Tuesday. The Detroit Lions wide receiver made a joint post with his now-fiancée, Brooklyn Adams, announcing their engagement. Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams congratulated them among the many messages they received.

St. Brown enjoyed another strong season, amassing 117 receptions for 1,401 yards and 11 touchdowns. He added three rushing attempts for nine yards. However, his impressive campaign did not help lead Detroit to the playoffs. The team finished with a 9-8 record, snapping their two-season postseason streak.

St. Brown and his teammates will reconvene on July 28 for the start of training camp. The Meijer Performance Center in Allen Park, Michigan, will host the sessions, where they will put in reps ahead of an important season.

These two may be NFC North rivals, but it is clear that Williams shares a bond with St. Brown off the field.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is fresh off an impressive run last year. He proved his critics wrong by leading Chicago to an NFC North crown and reaching the Divisional Round. Williams completed 330-of-568 passes for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, showing a lot of poise under pressure.

He earned the nickname “Iceman” for his cool demeanor in high-stakes situations. Williams also showcased his ability to rise to the occasion when his team needed him the most.

The Bears retooled this offseason with key veteran signings to bolster positional needs. One of the biggest holes they plugged was at safety. The franchise signed Coby Bryant from the Seattle Seahawks and drafted Dillon Thieneman at No. 25.

Chicago’s bolstered secondary will be crucial in providing Williams and the offense more chances to score. The Bears relied heavily on the unit to win them games, but things could change starting next season.
