Tyson Bagent has strong words after replacing Caleb Williams

Tyson Bagent usually plays for the Chicago Bears to close out games when the final score is all that’s being played for. However, he saw action on Sunday with the result still hanging in the balance. Caleb Williams went down with a hamstring injury, and he replaced him with 7:27 left in the fourth quarter. The QB2 delivered some strong words after the game.

Williams completed 15-of-26 passes for 138 yards and zero touchdowns against one interception in the 9-3 loss. Bagent took over and finished with 5-of-9 completions for 54 yards. Chicago scored its lone field goal in the first quarter, and the defense shut down the team in the last three periods.

The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner will undergo a series of tests on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. It’s a huge blow to the Bears and their fans as they entered the season with a lot of hype. Many considered them the favorites to win the NFC North again and Super Bowl contenders.

The Bears will play their next two games at home starting on Sept. 28. They will host the Philadelphia Eagles on “Monday Night Football” in Week 3 at Soldier Field. Their Week 4 game is versus the New York Jets before they go on a two-game road trip. Chicago is set to clash with its rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in Week 5, and the Atlanta Falcons the following week.
