Sophie Cunningham has established herself as one of the most popular WNBA players today. She is known for being an on-court enforcer and a highly-marketable athlete off of it, continuing to expand her portfolio. The former Indiana Fever showcased her $55 million home on Thursday.
She enjoyed a solid 2026 season. Cunningham began the campaign with the starting unit but the coaching staff moved her to the bench to give the reserves more offensive firepower. The veteran guard struggled with consistent production but was able to show off her ability to knock down timely baskets and play gritty defense.
Cunningham is now an unrestricted free agent. Analysts expect her to generate interest from teams around the league for her experience and skill set. She can sign with any franchise but could rejoin Indiana if it extends an offer to her this offseason.

Cunningham showed off her Arizona home and gave a house tour. It features a grand living area, sophisticated furnishings and different amenities like an outdoor pool, indoor shooting range and a pickleball court, among others. The 30-year-old also has a speakeasy-type bar and a basketball half-court in her estate.
She and the Fever reached the playoffs after a 28-16 regular-season record, clinching the No. 6 seed. They clashed with the then-defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, in the first round. Cunningham and Co. forced a deciding Game 3 on Oct. 1 at Michelob ULTRA Arena but lost 94-83.
It wasn’t the ending the team hoped for, especially as it entered the campaign as one of the title favorites. The front office has big decisions to make this offseason, including Cunningham’s future. The Fever will likely add some key pieces in free agency to surround their stars with more talent. Their moves will determine how competitive they’ll be in the coming years.
