Indiana Fever forward Monique Billings (25)

Monique Billings has been making the most of her WNBA offseason. She has been actively posting photos and videos on Instagram from her vacation in Southeast Asia. Career news about the Indiana Fever veteran forward emerged on Wednesday, and she had a one-word reaction to it.

Billings enjoyed a solid first season with Indiana. She became a regular part of the rotation, averaging 6.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 43 regular-season games. The 30-year-old signed a two-year, $1.6 million deal with the franchise last April.

She entered the league as the Atlanta Dream’s No. 15 overall pick in the second round in 2018. She played for them until 2023 before suiting up for the Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury, Golden State Valkyries and the Fever.

The Unrivaled league revealed the roster for all its participating teams in the 2027 season. One of them is the expansion team Breeze BC, which has Billings in its lineup. She is joined by Paige Bueckers, Kahleah Copper, Dominique Malonga, Kaitlyn Cheng and DiJonai Carrington.

“Young and Turnt with some new additions 👀 @breezebasketballclub,” Unrivaled wrote.

Billings dropped a one-word reaction in the comments section.

“Breezy🥳🤸🏽‍♀️,” Billings commented.

The 2027 season will be her second season in the 3-on-3 league. Billings played for Hive BC in the 2026 campaign, along with Kelsey Mitchell, Sonia Citron, Ezi Magbegor, Natisha Hiedeman and Saniya Rivers.

Meanwhile, Billings and Indiana saw their season end earlier than they hoped for. They qualified for the playoffs as the No. 6 seed after finishing the regular season with a 28-16 record. The Fever faced the Las Vegas Aces in the first round and forced a winner-take-all Game 3 on Oct. 1. However, they failed to dethrone the then-defending champions, losing 94-83 at Michelob ULTRA Arena, marking the start of their offseason.
