Shaquille O’Neal is known as an Angel Reese fan. However, the NBA legend trolled the Atlanta Dream star after she and the team lost in the WNBA Finals.

Atlanta forced a deciding Game 7 on Oct. 31 at Chase Center but came short, sufering a 68-63 defeat It was a heartbreaking result for Reese, especially after a historic season. She broke several league records and won the Defensive Player of the Year award. The 24-year-old set new marks for the most rebounds in a game and in a season, as well as the most double-doubles in a single campaign.

Meanwhile, O’Neal has strong ties to her. They both represent Reebok, with the four-time NBA champion serving as its president of basketball. Reese, on the other hand, endorses the brand and has a signature shoe. The two are also LSU products.

O’Neal and Reese were together on Saturday at Tiger Stadium to watch the LSU Tigers take on the Alabama Crimson Tide. However, their presence wasn’t enough for their school to secure a victory, losing 31-13. The former NBA center trolled Reese with her “too small” gesture while they made their way to the field.

Reese did the celly during Game 3 of the finals when the Dream took a 2-1 series lead. However, they lost three of the next four games and the Valkyries won the 2026 championship. Reese recorded just seven points on 3-of-7 shooting, along with 12 rebounds and two blocks in the winner-take-all matchup. It was a subpar performance by her standards as she produced better numbers earlier in the series.

Atlanta will likely add a few key pieces this offseason to strengthen their title bid next year. Reese and Co. will be hungrier in 2027, especially after coming up just one win short of winning it all. Reese will continue to be an important player for the franchise, along with Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray and Jordin Canada.
