Indiana Fever: Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham banter speaks volumes

Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham stole the spotlight for the Indiana Fever on Saturday night as they defeated the Connecticut Sun on the road, 85-75.
Clark led all scorers in the game with 25 on 10-of-17 shooting, to go along with three rebounds, five assists, a block and five triples.
Cunningham, on the other hand, led a late surge to close out the game. The veteran guard went off for 11 points in the final two minutes to seal the win.
The Fever improved to 8-5 after marking their third straight win. They will look to make it four in a row on Tuesday against the Toronto Tempo at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Cunningham joined Clark on the podium after the game, alongside head coach Stephanie White. At one point in the postgame interview, Cunningham quipped that she loved playing with Clark. It drew a hilarious reaction from the two-time All-Star.
“Thank you! Thank God,” Clark said.
“Shut up, dude,” Cunningham responded, laughing.
“I like that, I like playing with C”
“Thank you! Thank God”

The interaction shared a glimpse of the relationship between Clark and Cunningham. They have been teammates for just over a year, but it is clear that they’ve already formed quite a bond.
When the Fever traded for Cunningham last year, they expected her to serve as an enforcer alongside Clark. She’s played her role excellently, while also emerging as a vocal leader for the rest of the squad.
Off the court, these two have become close friends. They both have goofy personalities and seem to always be on the same wavelength. This has translated to success on the court. This relationship has been and will continue to be pivotal as the Fever chase a championship this year and beyond.
