WNBA makes big announcement involving Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever came crashing back down to earth on Thursday against the Atlanta Dream.

The Fever came into that matchup after winning four in a row. However, they had no answer for Angel Reese, who produced a 21-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead Atlanta to a 108-101 victory.

This was not the game that caught the WNBA’s attention, though. On Friday, the league’s communications office took to social media to make a major announcement involving Clark and the Fever. The game in the spotlight was Tuesday’s matchup against the Toronto Tempo.

Clark and Co. set another viewership record.

Indiana Fever set new viewership record

The Fever hosted the Tempo at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday. Indiana came out on top, 113-91, marking its fourth straight win. Clark turned in another strong performance with an awe-inspiring 21-point, 14-assist double-double.

USA Network handled the broadcast for the game, and the viewership numbers were staggering.

The Fever continue to bring in the numbers for the WNBA. This is a testament to how fans constantly gravitate towards Clark and her team, who continue to dominate viewership ratings across the league.

The Fever are currently 9-6 this season, and more than a few supporters will argue that they have yet to hit their full stride. They did win four in a row, but it just feels like Clark and Co. have much more to offer.

This only means the season will be even more exciting in the coming months, potentially leading to even higher viewership numbers.
