Saturday’s matchup between the Indiana Fever and the Atlanta Dream produced another memorable chapter in the personal rivalry between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.
These two have been going at it since their college days, and their on-court rivalry has continued to captivate fans now that they’re in the pros.
It was Reese and the Dream who came out on top on Saturday, though. Reese turned in a strong performance with 18 points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block. The two-time WNBA All-Star made history in the game by becoming the fastest player to 1,000 career rebounds.
Clark did all she could for the Fever, but it still wasn’t enough. The former Rookie of the Year went off for a game-high 26 points, with three rebounds, seven assists and three triples.
Reese and Co. got the job done, securing a 113-96 home win at State Farm Arena.

There was no love lost between Clark and Reese in this one. In fact, at one point in the contest, Reese attempted to engage Clark with some in-game banter. The Fever superstar was having none of it, savagely waving Reese off and her trash talk.

The brief exchange between the two stars has blown up online. As of this writing, the video above is already closing in on 500,000 views on X. This goes to show that WNBA fans remain invested in one of the league’s most intense personal rivalries.
At the end of the day, however, it was Reese who got the last laugh. She helped lead the Dream to their second win over the Fever in the last three days. Atlanta now holds the season series advantage over Indiana at 2-1.
