The Chicago Bulls are entering a new and exciting era. With Tiago Splitter as their new head coach, the team was able to nab one of the most exciting players in the 2026 NBA Draft in Caleb Wilson, and are starting to formulate the foundation for what they hope will be a team that can contend for years to come.
Indeed, the Bulls have not been relevant for quite some time now. However, with the changes that they have made this off-season, there is plenty of optimism for the upcoming season and those to come.
And now they have added a highly respected veteran to help guide the young players on the roster.

On Wednesday morning, it was reported that Chicago reached a two-year contract agreement with free agent guard/forward Norman Powell:

As one can see from the post above, the contract Powell signed with the Bulls is worth $45 million. This means, of course, that he will earn $22.5 million a year in Chicago.
Powell was named an All-Star for the first time in his 11-year NBA career last season, which he spent with the Miami Heat. He averaged 21.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 47/38/83 from the floor.
For his career, Powell has averages of 14.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game and shooting splits of 47/40/82. He won the 2019 NBA Championship with the Toronto Raptors and finished fourth in NBA Sixth Man of the Year voting twice while playing with the Los Angeles Clippers.
