Caitlin Clark teases exciting news on Monday

The upcoming release of Caitlin Clark’s first signature shoes continues to be talked about in the basketball world. Fans, sneaker collectors and players around the globe are looking forward to Oct. 1 to have a pair of the Nike Caitlin 1s. The Indiana Fever superstar teased an upcoming collaboration with popular comedian Nick Offerman.

Clark and the Fever are coming off a loss to the Washington Mystics on Sunday that snapped their three-game winning streak. It also lost them ground in the race for a top-three seed. The 24-year-old led the team’s charge with 25 points, two rebounds, five assists and three three-pointers. However, she struggled from the field, shooting 6-of 20, but made up for it with 10-of-10 free throws.

Kelsey Mitchell backed her with 22 points and two assists, while Makayla Timpson added 13 points and seven rebounds. No other Indiana player sored in double digits.

Clark uploaded a picture of two directors’ chairs from what appears to be from a video or photoshoot. Her last name is on the one on the left, while the other had Offerman’s. The three-time All-Star added a five-word caption.

“Just a couple of chairs ,” Clark wrote.

Offerman, who is known for his role as Ron Swanson on the sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” is rumored to have an off-court collaboration with Clark. It’s likely related to the Nike Caitlin 1s as the Swoosh brand is going all in on the upcoming release.

Meanwhile, Clark and Indiana will return to action on Tuesday. They will host the league-leading Minnesota Lynx in the first of their two remaining games. Their last assignment is also against the Lynx on Thursday at Target Center. The Fever are currently fifth in the standings with a 27-15 record, one game behind the Atlanta Dream and trailing the Las Vegas Aces by two.
