Game 3 between the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces lived up to expectations. It was an all-out war between two teams looking to advance to the next round and keep their championship hopes alive. There were several calls challenged by both teams, and Caitlin Clark only had a one-word reaction to the officiating and free-throw disparity.
The superstar guard recorded 18 points, four assists and three three-pointers. While it’s a solid stat line, she struggled with her shooting, converting just 6-of-18 attempts. Kelsey Mitchell also had poor shooting night, knocking down 7-of-23 shots on her way to 23 points and two rebounds. Aliyah Boston was efficient, making 9-of-18 from the field, and finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and two blocks.
However, their efforts were not enough to dethrone the defending champions. They lost 94-83 at Michelob ULTRA Arena and will now enter the offseason.

Clark, Mitchell and Stephanie White addressed the media after the game. The head coach mentioned that the Aces shot 35 free throws while the Fever only had 20 attempts. The three-time All-Star reacted with a one-word comment.
“Interesting,” Clark said.

A’ja Wilson once again dominated on both ends for Las Vegas. She registered a game-high 31 points, with 10 rebounds and two blocks. Chelsea Gray chipped in 23 points, four rebound and five assists, and Jackie Young added 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
The Indiana’s front office personnel will have big decisions to make over the offseason. The team’s roster construction will likely be studied, and assess if White and her staff are the best fit to run the roster. Las Vegas, on the other hand, will next take on either the Golden State Valkyries or the Dallas Wings. Wilson and Co. are aiming to win their fourth championship in the last five years.
