Jermaine Fowler Stars in ‘Barbershop’ Remake Series Teaser Trailer

“You can’t make them respect you, you have to earn it.” Prime Video revealed their first look teaser trailer for their new Barbershop comedy series, a remake/update on the classic Barbershop comedy films. Actor Jermaine Fowler stars in the lead role of “Trav” in this update on the Chicago barbershop and its patrons. “Fresh cuts coming February 10, walk-ins welcome.” Travis Porter aims to be a barber like his grandfather at Chicago’s Calvin’s barbershop – where the tradition of great cuts and community spirit lives on through lively debates and gatherings. Starring Jermaine Fowler, Brett Gray, Punkie Johnson, Roy Wood Jr., E.J. Bonilla, Bresha Webb, Bokeem Woodbine, Tiana Okoye, Langston Kerman. The original Barbershop movie debuted back in 2002, directed by Tim Story, with Ice Cube as Calvin. They eventually made 3 sequels over the years: Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004), Beauty Shop (2005), Barbershop: The Next Cut (2015). Now they’re giving it a new look and restarting things with a whole new young barber. Fowler is super talented and I’m jazzed to see him in this lead role.
