Official Trailer for Ron Howard’s Doc ‘Avedon’ About the Photographer

“The light is always changing.” Netflix revealed the trailer for the documentary film titled simply Avedon, directed by master filmmaker Ron Howard as his latest doc film offering following Rebuilding Paradise, We Feed People, and Jim Henson: Idea Man. From world leaders to pop culture icons, & even international supermodels, Richard Avedon’s influence helped create the blueprint for our image-driven world. All of his photographs didn’t just reflect culture, they shaped it. This Avedon doc originally premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, and it’s now schedule to debut for streaming on Netflix starting in November this fall. With unprecedented access to Avedon’s archive, including never before seen photos, behind the scenes recordings, and interviews with those who knew him best, Avedon is a visually stunning examination of the mind of an artist who shaped our collective image of the 20th century. Howard has been getting better & better with his docs, they’re always so fascinating and include well-researched stories about the person he’s profiling. This looks like a must watch for photography lovers and maybe everyone else, too. // Continue Reading ›
