BBC has revealed their full official trailers for the doc Blue Planet III, the latest installment of this award-winning nature doc series. Ready to view starting in November on BBC + other streaming services around the world. The original The Blue Planet doc event premiered in 2001. Narrated once again by the legendary Sir David Attenborough, Blue Planet III will have six hour-long episodes, with filming taking four years. The first five eps will focus on a different underwater habitat, and are titled “Tropical Seas”, “Open Ocean”, “Seasonal Seas”, “Polar Waters”, “The Deep”. The final episode, “Future Seas”, will explore themes of marine conservation. Combining our deeper understanding of the oceans with a whole new generation of camera technology including splash drones, long-term remote underwater cameras and a “mini dome”, showcasing stunning stories & extraordinary behaviors, previously impossible to film or only recently discovered. Where Blue Planet II (from 2017) exposed the threats to our oceans, BPIII will also explore stories of adaptation and resilience in this changing world, along with stories of hope and recovery. The series will focus on the planet’s five key underwater habitats: Tropical Seas; Open Ocean; Seasonal Seas; Polar Waters and The Deep. “A world of breathtaking beauty is just under the surface…” 🌊 Yep this looks amazing!
