Chicago Bears announce Caleb Williams update after 8 NFL games

Caleb Williams has proven that he is his team’s long-term answer at quarterback. He has commanded the offense well and led the franchise to success last year. The Chicago Bears announced an update about the star quarterback after Week 8.

He is coming off another strong performance on Monday against the Seattle Seahawks. Williams completed 24-of-34 passes for 247 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in the 34-17 win at Lumen Field. It was his third game back after missing the previous three matchups due a hamstring injury.

Chicago improved to 6-2 for the season and within striking distance of the top spot in the NFC North. Williams has recorded 112-of-158 completions for 1,267 yards, six touchdowns and only interception so far this year.

The team posted a graphic on Instagram on Wednesday. It showed Williams smiling and Chicago included his NFL record. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner has 36 straight games played without throwing multiple interceptions.

Williams continues to turn doubters into believers with his performances. The Bears are now on a three-game winning streak and living up to expectations as legitimate Super Bowl Contenders. Their only losses was when he exited in Week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings and three weeks later when he didn’t play versus the Green Bay Packers.

Chicago will return to action on Sunday when it hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Soldier Field. The team’s fans will cheer on Williams and Co. loudly to push it to a fourth straight victory. However, it won’t be easy as the visitors have won their last two matchups. The Bucs also have a star quarterback of their own in Baker Mayfield, who wants to continue stringing wins together to improve from their 3-5 record.
