Case Keenum runs his way into Chicago Bears record books

Quarterback Case Keenum had a game no one could’ve predicted against the Philadelphia Eagles. His latest act in the Monday Night Football clash has etched his name into the Chicago Bears history books forever.
Keenum ran in a one-yard run on a quarterback sneak to give the Bears a 27-7 lead. He became oldest player in Bears history to run in a touchdown, via Courtney Cronin of ESPN.
“At 38 years and 223 days young, Case Keenum is the oldest player to score a rushing touchdown in Bears history,” Cronin wrote.

Entering Monday’s game, Keenum ran in a touchdown since 2019. The Eagles certainly weren’t preparing for him to make an impact with his leg. While it wasn’t a Caleb Williams wizard play, the rushing touchdown put an emphasis on Chicago’s Week 3 dominance.
Overall, Keenum completed 24-of-34 passes for 247 yards and two touchdowns. He consistently moved the ball down field and got the ball into the playmaker’s hands in open space. Head coach Ben Johnson couldn’t have asked for a better performance.
Keenum’s outing against the Eagles proved that he stays ready for whenever his name is called. Now, his remarkable performance will be forever remembered.
