With Aaron Glenn calling the shots, the Chicago Bears know they can’t take the New York Jets defense lightly. They enter the Week 4 matchup ranked second in total defense, allowing 258.3 yards per game.
There is one problem when it comes to New York’s defensive side though. The Jets haven’t recorded an interception in their last 20 games. They became the first team in NFL history to go a full season without a pick in 2025. And they play 17 games now.
At least in 2026, their pass defense has been just fine, ranking third by allowing 171 yards per game. But their lack of takeaways through the air remain extremely taboo. Especially facing off against a Bears team tied for second with three interceptions.
Whoever is playing quarterback for the Bears will look to ensure the Jets’ streak continues. One Chicago cornerback is shocked it has lasted this long in the first place.

Tyrique Stevenson’s role on the team has come into question after rookie Malik Muhammad earned the start in Week 3. However, he has still had plenty of highs during his time in Chicago, including seven interceptions.
When he found out about the Jets’ streak, he couldn’t believe it was real, via Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
“Twenty?” Stevenson said. “That’s a lie!”
It is still not known exactly who will be playing quarterback for the Bears in Week 4. Case Keenum is coming off of a massive Week 3 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. But Tyson Bagent is QB2 on the depth chart and is now fully healthy. Whoever is under center at least knows not turning the ball over is a key priority.
As for Stevenson, he’ll be looking to force the Jets to turn the ball over themselves whenever he is on the field. And while he is shocked by New York’s streak, the cornerback wants to see it last even longer.
