The Chicago Bears have cemented themselves as a Super Bowl contender for the 2026 season.
With a top five offense in the NFL and a defense that has been immediately bolstered by the trade for Jeffery Simmons, the window for the Bears is here.
Despite the Bears being among the top teams in multiple power rankings, many analysts still for some reason are doubting them.
Fox sports’ Nick Wright gave a bold prediction for Sunday’s primetime matchup vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday’s edition of First Things First.

In the latest clip via X, Wright claims that Sunday’s game feels like a “vintage, NFL humbles you spot”.
The analyst stated that the Bears are flying “a little high” and called the Bucs defense ”wildly” underrated as well.

What’s the most baffling part is what he had to say about star quarterback Caleb Williams.
Wright said that Williams is having a great season, but it’s a modest season because he hasn’t thrown enough passing yards.
Does Wright remember that the Bears quarterback missed three games this season? The analyst didn’t mention that at all in the clip.

Despite the narrative against the Bears, the team keeps proving everyone wrong every week.
This is just another instance of Wright and his show picking against the Bears, like they have done every single week.
Even though Tampa Bay has a great defense, the Bears are on fire right now. Sunday’s matchup at Soldier Field has the makings to be a great one. Let’s see if the Bears can go into the bye week at 7-2, and potentially back in first place of the NFC north.
