Caitlin Clark’s behavior toward Indiana Fever teammate turns heads

Caitlin Clark watched from the bench on Saturday night as the Indiana Fever blew out the Los Angeles Sparks in a home game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, 111-87.

Clark was forced to sit this one out with a back injury, which she sustained in Wednesday’s contentious loss to the Phoenix Mercury. The two-time All-Star tweaked her back after being fouled on a three-point attempt. She was later ruled out for the rest of the game.

The player who replaced Clark in the starting lineup for Saturday’s matchup is veteran guard Tyasha Harris. This was just the second start of the season for the 28-year-old, who joined Indiana in the offseason via free agency.

Harris stepped up to the plate in a major way after joining the starting lineup. The 5-foot-10 guard registered 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting, to go along with five rebounds, three assists and two three-pointers in 30 minutes of action.

Clark played the role of cheerleader from the Fever bench throughout the game. The former WNBA Rookie of the Year drew attention on social media for her behavior toward Harris. This is after Clark jumped off the bench to celebrate one of Harris’ triples on the night.

Harris and Clark both pulled out a telephone celebration after the three. The Fever superstar pointed to her teammate after Harris’ big moment.
