Caitlin Clark had no words for big Fever news

Caitlin Clark is the engine the keeps the Indiana Fever running. Along with her All-Star teammates, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston, they’ve led the team in turning its fortunes around following a slow start. Stephanie White will continue to rely upon them to lead the team to playoffs.

The Iowa product is averaging 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.0 rebounds through 28 games. She is a big reason why Indiana is now 19-11 for the season despite starting with a 5-5 record. Clark has won back-to-back WNBA Player of the Week honors for her impressive performances, including a 45-point, 10-assist outing on July 17. She achieved the first game in league history with such stats, with the point total being the highest in Fever history.

Fever star Caitlin Clark reposts big WNBA updates

Clark posted two updates on her Instagram story on Wednesday without any captions. The first announces that Mitchell is the WNBA’s Player of the Month. She has scored 20-plus points in 14 consecutive games and is one of the favorites to be named MVP. Meanwhile, Clark’s next story highlights White winning Coach of the Month honors.

Indiana enjoyed a strong run in July, dropping just two of its 10 matchups. The streak included five straight victories, which ended on Sunday in the 108-100 loss to the Minnesota Lynx. Clark and her teammates are in a good position to continue climbing the standings as they now sit in fifth place.

The Fever will play three of their next four games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. They need to get back on track quickly as a five-game road trip follows, including marquee matchups versus the Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings. The good news is Clark continues to play despite dealing with a lingering back issue. She is tagged as probable for Thursday against Las Vegas.
