WNBA star Caitlin Clark leaves Indiana Fever veteran in awe

Caitlin Clark once again impressed on Friday against the Dallas Wings. She has dazzled many throughout her WNBA career, leaving them in awe of her performances. The three-time All-Star’s veteran Indiana Fever teammate, Tyasha Harris, is one of them.

Clark produced 29 points, three rebounds and 10 assists in the 98-87 victory. It was her fifth double-double in the last six games and 11th of the season. Kelsey Mitchell chipped in 23 points, while Aliyah Boston recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds. Harris played arguably her best game of the campaign, contributing 15 points on 5-of-5 shooting from downtown.

Indiana entered the game on the back of two consecutive victories. The team bounced back strong from a two-game skid and have now won three straight, improving its record to 22-12.

Tyasha Harris talks about Caitlin Clark’s game

Harris joined Clark on the podium to address reporters after the game. She opened up about what has impressed her most about Clark’s game and she gave the three-time All-Star her flowers.

“I’m in awe watching CC play,” Harris said. “Sometimes it’s like it’s normal and — it’s not. So, it’s just great to be on her side officially.”

The 28-year-old faced Clark last season when she played for the Wings. She signed with the Fever in April for more backcourt depth and experience. Sharing the court with the superstar guard has given Harris more reason to be happy playing for her hometown team.

Clark, Harris and Co. will play their next game on Sunday. They will take on the Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena, marking the start of their four-game road trip. A clash with the Toronto Tempo follows two days later before their rematch with Dallas on Tuesday. Indiana will wrap up its set of away matchups on Aug. 22 versus the New York Liberty. The team is currently fourth in the standings but just 0.5 games ahead of the Dream.
