Sacha Baron Cohen Returns in ‘Ali G: Who Iz I?’ Sequel Official Trailer

“For the first time ever, this is a film with real people. Not actors.” Uh huh. Amazon MGM has unveiled the first official trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I?, an entirely unnecessary & unwanted sequel from comedian / actor Sacha Baron Cohen. He brings back the OG character that launched his career – Ali G, a “faux-streetwise poseur” from the UK who first appeared in 1998 and was the basis for his Da Ali G Show in the early 2000s (before he made Borat). He’s ripping off his own concept from the Borat sequel, introducing a “girlfriend” character for this movie Ali G: Who Iz I? – played by Morgana Robinson. Hip-hop journalist Ali G returns after 20 years to make a documentary with real people. Cameras follow him for a year as he takes classes, walks the streets, and appears on shows, often with his very pregnant girlfriend. “Yo check out de trailer for me new movie, Ali G: Who Iz I? It got nuff sick tings, but u’ll have to watch de hole film to find out if me hactually died makin it.” The movie is hitting theaters directly in October, which is a bit odd for something that looks direct-to-streaming. He even rips off that giant jacket right from Talking Heads.
