Fever announce Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston updates before Game 2 vs. Aces

The Indiana Fever are facing elimination and will host the Las Vegas at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Tuesday. They lost 102-85 on Sunday behind a superb all-around game from A’ja Wilson. The No. 6-seeded team released an update on Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston one day before Game 2.

Boston led Indiana’s charge with 18 points, with eight rebounds and four assists. Clark added 15 points and 10 assists but struggled from the field, converting just 6-of-17 shots, and committed six turnovers. Kelsey Mitchell had a rare off night and recorded just 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting. Raven Johnson and Sophie Cunningham picked up the slack by combining for 27 points.

Meanwhile, Wilson was unstoppable on the night as she finished with a game-high 38 points, along with 16 rebounds, two steals and four blocks. Jackie Young backed her with 21 points and 10 assists, and Chelsea Gray contributed 14 points, five rebounds and eight assists.

Fever release status of Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston for Game 2

The Fever released their injury report for Tuesday’s do-or-die Game 2. Clark and Boston are both listed as probable and are expected to start for the team. However, Damiris Dantas and Ty Harris are both sidelined due to a knee and lower leg injuries, respectively.

Indiana finished the regular-season with two losses in its last three games. It secured the No. 6 seed with a 28-12 record to set up the clash with the defending champions which clinched the No. 3 seed.

Clark and Boston’s availability is a huge boost to the Fever as they have their backs against the wall. They have no room for error and need to sweep the two remaining games to advance to the next round. Amazon Prime will show the game live starting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
