Angel Reese vows to bounce back with Dream

Reese shared her thoughts after the unfortunate ending to the Dream’s campaign. She highlighted how glad she is to have her teammates and stressed that they will come back stronger.

“It’s tough, especially with the great group that I’ve honestly been and had an honor to battle with all year,” Reese said. “They changed my life, and I’m just so grateful for them, and I’m so thankful for them. It is tough in the moment, but we’ll be back. And I always say ‘delayed not denied,’ and this is only year three. They got a lot more years left too. But I’m just really grateful that I got to go to war with this group and I would do all over again.”

The Dream qualified for the playoffs as the No. 4 seed after a 30-14 regular season. They swept the first two rounds before pushing the finals to a winner-take-all Game 7. Reese earned her third straight All-Star nod and broke several league records. She also played for Team USA at the FIBA Women’s World Cup, helping the national team win its fifth straight world championship.
