Caleb Williams vs. Jordan Love: the fans have spoken, and it’s not even close

The last time Caleb Williams and Jordan Love faced off on the football field was in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs last season.

Both quarterbacks had a big night, but it was the Chicago Bears that reigned supreme over their bitter rivals, the Green Bay Packers, 31-27.

Williams finished with 24-of-48 completed passes for 361 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Love, on the other hand, completed 24-of-46 passes for 323 yards, four TDs and zero interceptions.

Love’s 103.8 QB rating was far better than Williams’ 71.6. However, at the end of the day, it was Williams and the Bears who proceeded to the next round. It was the end of the line for Love and Co.

NFL fans pick Caleb Williams over Jordan Love

At this point in their careers, there’s no denying that Williams and Love have proven that they are both worthy of being their respective team’s franchise quarterback. However, in a head-to-head comparison, the fans on social media have made it clear that Williams is the better player.

ML Football recently pitted the two signal-callers on X. They asked who the fans would want as their quarterback for the next decade. Williams won by a landslide.

“Caleb all day. His ceiling and trajectory cannot be questioned. Partnered with his dedication, work ethic, and demeanor and what even is the ceiling anyway?” a comment on X read.

“As a vikings fan caleb is EASILY the best qb in the division (not including kyler since he’s unproven right now) and suggesting jordan is anything better than the worst in the north is laughable,” another said.

“Not even close – Caleb, especially since Love is 28 and Caleb is 25,” declared a user.

“Caleb there is no question about it. Jordan Who,” a reaction read.

“Both great choices, I’d personally say Williams especially with Ben Johnson at coach,” said another.

“Love is the type of QB that needs the perfect team around him to be successful. Whereas Caleb can step up in the big moments, elevate those around him, put the team on his back, throw on the cape, and go get it done. I choose CW everyday of the week, and twice on Sunday,” a fan wrote.

While there are still some who picked Love over Williams, the Bears QB was the overwhelming winner of the social media survey.

The Bears and the Pakcers are scheduled to face off twice in 2026. Williams and Co. will travel to Lambaeu Field in Week 5. Chicago will then host Green Bay on Chirstmas Day at Soldier Field.
