Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears will play a crucial matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday. They will be without Caleb Williams, who suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 and has been ruled out. However, the second-year head coach made an honest admission on Sunday.
The Bears are coming off a 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Williams exited with less than eight minutes left and did not return. His backup, Tyson Bagent, is dealing with a concussion and Case Keenum will be the QB1 in Week 3.
The “Monday Night Football” matchup is one of seven primetime games for Chicago this season. Johnson understands the importance of ending the night with a win but does not want to put pressure on his players,

Johnson addressed the media on Sunday. He admitted that he doesn’t put much thought on the primetime matchup and that playing on national TV should already hype the team.
“I honestly don’t put a whole lot of thought into it,” Johnson said. “I know we have a lot of different time slots this year from Thursday to Sunday at noon to Sunday night to Monday. We’re all over the place. The way we’ve tried to prepare our team throughout training camp is a little bit chaotic by design so that we don’t bat an eye when we get called upon to show up.
“I do think there’s some natural excitement anytime you’re playing a night game in front of your home crowd. You can feel the electricity in the stadium, so that’s what gets our guys going.”
